二乙基甲苯二胺用作反應注塑成型聚氨酯的擴鏈劑，聚氨酯涂料、環氧樹脂、醇酸樹脂固化劑。農藥、染料中間體，塑料、橡膠、油類抗氧劑。
二乙基甲苯二胺是聚氨酯彈性體以及環氧樹脂的芳香族二胺固化劑，用于澆注、涂料、膠黏劑，也是聚氨酯及聚脲彈性體的擴鏈劑。它與聚氨酯預聚體的反應速度快，主要用于反應澆注成型聚氨酯體系以及噴涂聚氨酯(脲)彈性涂料體系，具有反應速度快，脫模時間短、初始強度高、制品耐水解、耐熱等優點。另外該品還可用作彈性體、潤滑劑及工業油脂的抗氧劑，以及化學合成中間體。
