棕色結晶，具有中藥味。熔點92-95℃（102-102.5℃），沸點149℃/1.9kPa（14mmHg）。
生產工藝編輯
用水楊醛與鹽酸羥胺縮合，生成水楊醛肟，然后與乙酐反應并水解制得該品。
　　實驗室制備: 水楊醛為原料一步法生產水楊腈。61.5 g (0.5 mol) 水楊醛、42 g (0.6 mol) 鹽酸羥胺和500 mL N-甲基吡咯烷酮,110～115℃下反應5 h，得產品鄰羥基苯甲腈，摩爾收率91.2%，產品含量99%。
方法如下: 將7.3 g鹽酸羥胺溶于20 ml水中，分批加入8.3 g 碳酸氫鈉攪拌至澄清，加入20 ml 95%乙醇，滴加12.2 g水楊醛，加熱回流一小時后，停止加熱，稍冷后旋蒸除去大部分乙醇，冷卻即有晶體析出，抽濾，水洗，干燥后得白色晶體13.2 g，熔點57-59℃。不經純化可直接用于下一步反應。
取上述制得的水楊醛肟2.7 g，加入到4.5 ml乙酸酐中回流三小時左右，稍冷后旋蒸除去大部分乙酸酐，加入20 ml左右的10%KOH水溶液回流5小時冷卻后，乙醚洗滌，水層用濃鹽酸酸化后二氯甲烷萃取多次，飽和氯化鈉洗至中性，無水硫酸鈉干燥，除溶劑后得棕紅色固體2.3 g，脫色后用苯/正己烷=4:1重結晶，得無色晶體2.0 g，熔點92-95 ℃，產率85.5%。

Using salicylaldehyde with hydroxylamine hydrochloride condensation, generate salicylaldoxime, then react with acetic anhydride and hydrolysis system of the goods.
Preparation: salicylaldehyde as raw material to one-step production of salicylic nitrile. 61.5 g (0.5 mol) salicylaldehyde, 42 g (0.6 mol) hydroxylamine hydrochloride and 500 mL of N - methyl pyrrolidone, reaction under 110 ~ 115 ℃ for 5 h, product adjacent hydroxyl cyanobenzene and molar yield of 91.2%, 99% content of products.
Method is as follows: 7.3 g hydroxylamine hydrochloride in 20 ml water, partial stir in 8.3 g of sodium bicarbonate to clarify, add 20 ml 95% ethanol, add 12.2 g of salicylaldehyde, heating reflux after an hour, stop heating, a bit cold after spin steaming to remove most of the ethanol, cooling the crystal precipitation, the suction filter, washed, dried white crystal 13.2 g, melting point - 59 57 ℃. Can be applied directly to the next step reaction without purification.
Take the above of salicylaldoxime 2.7 g, join the 4.5 ml of acetic anhydride back three hours or so, a bit cold after spin steaming to remove most of acetic anhydride, and add 20 ml of around 10% KOH aqueous solution reflux 5 hours after cooling, ether washing, water layer with concentrated hydrochloric acid acidification after methylene chloride extraction times, saturated sodium chloride washing to neutral, anhydrous sodium sulfate and dry, in addition to the solvent after palm red solid 2.3 g, dec
