Flibanserin, a drug used to increase a woman's Libido, reduces the 5-hydroxytryptamine that inhibit sex drive and increases dopamine levels that stimulate it. The six month study was funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim and involved the University of North Carolina, the University of Virginia, and the University of Pavia, the The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Canada.
