用途： 1.二氯甲烷具有溶解能力強和毒性低的優點，大量用于制造安全電影膠片、聚碳酸酯，其余用作涂料溶劑、金屬脫脂劑，氣煙霧噴射劑、聚氨酯發泡劑、脫模劑、脫漆劑。
2.二氯甲烷為無色液體，在制藥工業中做反應介質，用于制備氨芐青霉素、羥芐青霉素和先鋒霉素等；還用作膠片生產中的溶劑、石油脫蠟溶劑、氣溶膠推進劑、有機合成萃取劑、聚氨酯等泡沫塑料生產用發泡劑和金屬清洗劑等。
3. 二氯甲烷在中國主要用于膠片生產和醫藥領域。其中用于膠片生產的消費量占總消費量的50%，醫藥方面占總消費量的20%，清洗劑及化工行業消費量占總消費量的20%，其他方面占10%。
4.用于谷物熏蒸和低壓冷凍機及空調裝置的制冷。在聚醚型尿烷泡沫塑料生產中用作輔助發泡劑,以及用作擠壓聚砜型泡沫塑料的發泡劑
